I offer copyediting and proofreading services to academic and trade non-fiction publishers. I have extensive training and experience in both disciplines, and a commitment to ongoing CPD demonstrated by my Advanced Professional Membership of the CIEP. I’m able to work to schedule, offering flexibility when it is required and reasonable, and communicate sensitively with authors and in-house stakeholders.

I proofread on PDF using the commenting tools or BSI symbols as preferred. I can also work directly in InDesign if required. For copyediting I’m comfortable using Word styles or tagging to help prepare the document for typesetting. I have experience of working on complex texts and following style guides.
